Marriages are by nature a fusion of two individuals and their faiths. With that in mind, countless Asiatic civilizations have many customs and festivals surrounding the marriage weekends. Some may be familiar with the Mehndi Ceremony, but what about the Milni Festival? Let’s taking a closer look at some of the most famous marriage tradition in eurasia https://confettiskies.com/korean-women/.

The Mehndi ( or Henna ) ceremony is a pre- wedding festival where the bride and her female family members and friends get their hands https://www.tumblr.com/cherry-interlude/171557712643/personal-10-most-romantic-lana-del-rey-songs decorated with intricate henna designs. This is not only a joyous celebration but it also symbolizes the strength of the bond between the wedding and her future partner.

On the day of the ceremony, the bride is generally escorted to her couple’s residence by her maternal brother and is welcomed by the female members of the groom’s relatives with purple bits of funds( much like we might view a “celebrity” make a great gate at their marriage). The groom makes his way to the mandap where he sits alongside the bride and takes seven steps, which are similar to saying their vows in a western wedding.

The tying of the knot is typically followed by the Saptapadi, where the couple promises themselves and each other that they will honor their parents, live in harmony and treat each other with respect. Then the newly married couple will leave for their honeymoon! Traditionally, the groom would escort his bride back to her parents on the third day after the wedding and honor them by paying respects to their elders. This was to thank them for raising her and to show their appreciation and respect for her.
